Beads, beads, beads

Hello everyone. I haven't posted here for a while so I thought I better get busy.

I have been in contact with the Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Program at Randall Children's Hospital in Portland Oregon. I have been wanting to create some beads for their Journey Beads program (similar to Beads of Courage). I finally have all the details and will begin creating beads in January.

By making beads for the hospital, I am "Paying It Forward" in my own way. Are you involved in any sort of volunteer program in your area? Would you like to share your story? Just leave a comment.

Happy Holidays

  1. What you are doing is awesome!

I sell the fair trade coffee that I put into each of my pieces at my church once a month. I also donate 10% of everything I make--5% to World Hunger and 5% to Feeding America.

I've also made a line of Breast Cancer Awareness items--10% on those items gets donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization.

I have every intention in participating in the 1,000 bracelet campaign.
